NewCold Italia: Europe's largest cold hub in partnership with Isopan

38500 square meters of Isofrozen panel for the facades of the new NewCold automated hub in Fiorenzuola d'Arda (PC).

Il Sole 24 Ore described the Fiorenzuola d'Arda hub as 'Logistics 5.0'. One of the primary objectives, explicitly stated by Luca Quaresima, Country Manager for NewCold Italy, is to create technical-logistical spaces capable of reducing energy consumption by 60% through facilities considered best in the class.

A STRATEGIC WHITE HUB FOR THE COLD CHAIN

An automated hub capable of accommodating 145,000 pallet spaces, in a self-supporting metal warehouse and with as many as 8 stacker cranes capable of optimising and managing the complex operational phases of delivery, storage and delivery. 

The constant temperature of -23° is guaranteed by the 200 mm thick Isofrozen cladding panel and the joint, which ensure high quality and efficient thermal insulation.

38,500 SQUARE METRES OF CERTIFIED ISOFROZEN PANELS

Over 38,500m2 of Isofrozen panels, CE marked and FM Approval certified, were placed over the entire surface.
Another key aspect concerns the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) studies conducted on Isofrozen which enabled them to obtain the EPD certification essential for the LEED and BREAM certifications required by the customer.

 LEAF TECHNOLOGY

Specifically, Isopan has developed an innovative insulation technology called LEAF, a new-generation formulation with non-halogenated flame retardants, therefore not harmful to the environment, and with a 20% improvement in heat loss containment.
